We tested on the beach after a week of traveling around the island of Crete.
Our beach was close to the river estuary so the water was not so warm, the cold sweet water is not mixing very well. Apart of that, our beach was full of small sweet water sources. You can even find them at the bottom while walking in the shallow water.

We were thinking of staying on Crete and then taking a day-trip on a boat to Santorini or even spending a night on Santorini. Which option would you recommend?
We haven’t been to Santorini. As far as I know, it takes sometime to travel to the island. I believe that it might more interesting to stay overnight and have some more time to discover the unique island.
