DAY 7. Chill out #2

September 29, 2013September 26, 2017 By admin

Posted from Thành phố Phú Quốc, Kien Giang, Vietnam.

After a rainy night, Jessa and I got up early, around 7 am and we went to buy a present for Michas. He has the name day, and this is a tradition in Poland to celebrate it. We decided to but some alcohol.

A coco-rice-banana cake, served warm. Quite sweet. Price 5,000 VND (around 25 US cent), you can buy it on the street.

Alcohol is not so expensive in Vietnam. Maybe because it is not so popular in Asian countries and government does not put a big tax on it. 0.7l Bacardi = 240,000 VND = appr. 12 USD )

You can see the prices in thousand of Vietnamese Dong.

We bought 1 kg of limes ( 30,000 VND = 1.5 USD ), and bottle of Curacao for 270,000 VND = 13.5 USD.

The sun went out = let’s go on the beach. And again we met the local lady who sold us fresh fruit. She was really happy to see us again.

Jessa and Paulina eating a fresh water melon.

At the evening, we got really hungry and we decided to find out the new Vietnamese restaurant. This time: Let’s try: nice atmosphere and tasty food.

Michas is trying to show ‘K’ like Korea. At that dinner I was all the time admiring the Korean food, which I find much tastier than Vietnamese.

A hot pot with seafood (that it was a baby shark). Since the baby shark is quite expensive, there was just a little of it inside the pot.

The price you have at the restaurant at Phu Quoc. Dinner for 4 persons, costed 662,000 VND = 15-16 USD.

The weather in late September is not the best. It started to rain, so there is a need for raincoat. The price for the raincoat = 5,000- 10,000 VND. You can buy it almost in every street shop.

A rain.

Jessa and I decided to have one more Mango juice while waiting for the better weather.
