We got up at 3.00 am, the flight was 30 minutes delayed and we finally started at 6.40 am. The flight took 2 hours 39 minutes. After arrival at Heraklion Airport we took bus to the hotel – Fereniki.
The journey took 1.5 hour. The landscape of Crete is very beautiful: mountainous with blue seas and dry and wypalona od Slonca soil with olives. Our hotel lies in Georgioupoli, a costal small city. At the time we went to the beach, meltemi – local wind was blowing. It is said it blows from half august and lasts 14 days. As a result the sea was rough. However the water was still warm. Once you went into you didn’t want to get out l, it was cold. We chose a budget hotel, so we didn’t have a right to use the lezak place. We needed to order a drink. We strolled at the town, but fresh fruit and went for dinner. We ate lam meat, Dominika eat grilled and I ate a baked one. It was tasty, we drank white home wine, it was ok. The big dinner for two of us costed 30 euro. At the end of the day we bought an SIM card to use it in a portable wifi modem. A shopkeeper was friendly, scanned my id. We paid 24 euro and after all we managed to have 4Gb of transfer. It should be enough for whole stay.
