The flight to Chania was 60 minutes delayed, due to the fact, that after the Coronavirus lockdowns 2020-2022, the airport crew is struggling to operate the airport as smoothly as before. However, the situation is not as bad as in Amterdam Schiphol airport, were thousands of flights were to be delayed that vacation period. The airport crew had changed the job and were unwilling to return to the old job and the airport didn’t want to increase the wages.
Last week, when I was returning from Zadar, I had a stop in Zagreb. Because of flight congestion in Warsaw, We waited 50 minutes in Zagreb airport to gef a free slot and land in Warsaw.

We were flying the same aircraft type that had malfunctions in MCAS system, that resulted in 2018 with 2 planes crashing.
While waiting at the airport we went to McDonald’s restaurant, Jessa bought her favorite mcflurry, vanila flavor icecream with MM’s crushed but not mixed (this type was withdrawn for couple of years in Poland) and that time was branded as a new taste. The McDonalds at the airport is not so big and when there was many orders, there were a substantial delays. Some clients ordered the food and then due to congestion of orders they couldn’t waited for too long and left leaving the meals somewhere in the production lines. So, you could potentially take one bag of around 10 bags, that was later thrown away.
Jessa was pregnant and after a consultation with a doctor, she was able to fly. Gniewko, our to be born boy in the age of “- 18 week” was already airborne. I asked Jessa before the takeoff, he was calm.
